The Nigerian Girl Guides Association is a voluntary organisation open to all girls, young women and adults without distinction on the basis of religion, status, nationality, tribe or any other circumstances with over 100,000 members spread throughout the 36 states of the federation. We provide girls and young women with opportunities for self-training in character development and service to others based on spiritual and moral values, responsible citizenship and service to their communities. We encourage friendship among girls and young women of all nations.

Our programs support girls and women and provide opportunities for fun, adventure and skill development. Girl Guides provides great role models for girls, and pathways to community involvement. The Nigerian Girl Guides are active and do innovative and imaginative programs, which help to build decision-making skills and independent learners. All in all, Guides build capacity in our communities through developing our citizens of today and tomorrow. When girls join a Girl Guides Company, they meet to learn anything and everything from camping to acting to responding to emergencies and link to a world-wide organization of girls and women in 145 countries.
